Head of Power Department – Beirut

About the role

The Head of Power Department will lead ICC Group’s power portfolio from its headquarters in Beirut, overseeing a multi‑country pipeline of EPC projects in conventional and renewable energy. Reporting to senior management, you will act as the technical, engineering and commercial compass for a team of around 20 engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the full EPC lifecycle for power generation plants, substations and HV/MV/LV distribution networks, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.
• Lead technical negotiations with international OEMs, partners and lenders, evaluating generation technologies and equipment packages.
• Own pricing, cost estimation and bid strategy for power tenders, building BOQs, cost models and risk assessments.
• Negotiate joint‑venture and consortium agreements, assessing partner capabilities and defining scope splits.
• Mentor and develop a department of electrical and power engineers, allocating resources across simultaneous projects in several countries.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules and technical performance, travelling to sites as required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in power engineering and EPC project delivery across multiple regions.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams at senior level.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of successful bid management and cost control.
• Excellent communication skills to represent the company with clients, partners, government bodies and financial institutions.
