Head of Partnerships & Programmes – Lebanon

About the role

War Child Alliance is seeking a senior leader to drive partnership development, programme design and fundraising for its Lebanon operations. The Head of Partnerships & Programmes will ensure high‑quality delivery of education, child protection and mental health & psychosocial support interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee development of high‑quality project proposals and funding applications, ensuring donor compliance and alignment with programme objectives.
• Lead design, implementation and quality assurance of education, child protection and MHPSS programmes across Lebanon.
• Develop and execute the country fundraising strategy, identify funding opportunities and manage donor engagement plans.
• Ensure programme coherence, relevance and effectiveness in line with humanitarian standards and War Child’s strategy.
• Maintain strong relationships with donors, UN agencies, partners and represent War Child in coordination forums.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in international development, humanitarian affairs, public health, education or a related field.
• Minimum five years of senior management experience in the humanitarian/development sector.
• Proven experience in writing project proposals for diverse donors and managing programmes in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong knowledge of education, child protection and MHPSS programmes and of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning methodologies.
• Excellent English and Arabic written and verbal communication skills.
