Head of Furniture Department

About the role

Sleep Comfort is seeking a strategic leader with at least five years of experience in the furniture industry to head its Furniture Department. The role will integrate furniture offerings with the company’s core mattress and bedding products to deliver cohesive bedroom solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the furniture department, aligning with brand standards and financial goals.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and grow market share.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adjust product ranges and inventory.
• Curate furniture collections that complement mattress lines and create bundled bedroom sets.
• Train sales staff on technical specifications of both furniture and sleep products.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the department team, fostering a customer‑centric culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the furniture industry (retail, wholesale, or manufacturing).
• Proven track record of managing a department, achieving sales targets, and leading a team.
• Deep knowledge of furniture design, construction, and current trends.
• Strong preference for candidates with extensive experience in mattresses and sleep products.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, though substantial experience may substitute.
