Generalist Project Officer – WatHab Program

About the role

The WatHab Generalist Project Officer will plan, design and implement engineering projects that support the ICRC’s WatHab in Detention programme in Beirut. Working under limited supervision, the officer will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards while contributing to the humanitarian mission of the ICRC.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and surveys to identify project requirements.
• Develop detailed project designs and feasibility studies.
• Oversee multidisciplinary project implementation, commissioning and close‑out.
• Coordinate resources, timelines, budgets and quality controls.
• Manage relationships with internal teams, external contractors and other stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate and timely project reports for the program manager.

Required profile

• Legally eligible to work in Lebanon.
• Relevant engineering or project management background.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and deliver results.
• Strong analytical skills for assessments and feasibility analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
