Full-Time Faculty – Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine

About the role

The Lebanese American University’s Gilbert and Rose‑Marie Chagoury School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time faculty member for its Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community, contributing to clinical care, teaching, and research.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in rheumatology and internal medicine.
• Provide clinical services to patients within LAU‑affiliated hospitals and clinics.
• Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Develop and conduct research projects, publish findings, and secure external funding.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification or equivalent in rheumatology.
• Minimum five years of clinical practice in rheumatology.
• At least five years of teaching experience at the medical school level.
• Demonstrated record of advanced research and scholarly publications.
