Finance Project Management Officer

About the role

The Finance Strategy Execution & Transformation Unit is seeking a Finance Project Management Officer to support the supervisor in day‑to‑day project management, analytical, reporting and coordination activities. The position is based primarily on the Beirut campus, with occasional travel to the Byblos campus and LAUMC sites.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the finance transformation project portfolio register across LAU and its affiliated entities, tracking status, owners, milestones and dependencies.
• Track project progress, deliverables and timelines, flagging slippages and escalation items for the supervisor.
• Prepare and update project plans, Gantt charts, milestone trackers and RAID logs for each initiative.
• Produce regular project status reports, steering‑committee packs and dashboard updates.
• Liaise with project owners, sponsors and contributors to gather inputs, monitor deliverables and prepare reports.
• Document lessons learned, post‑implementation reviews and project closure records.
• Assist in preparing finance narratives, charts, tables and executive presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
• Support the development and maintenance of executive dashboards, performance reports and data visualisations.
• Gather, clean, reconcile and analyse data using AI and automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Power BI Copilot.
• Coordinate finance committees, task forces and steering groups by drafting agendas, minutes and tracking action items.
• Update finance website content and digital communication tools to ensure consistency.

Required profile

• Ability to support a supervisor in day‑to‑day project management and coordination across multiple entities.
• Experience preparing status reports, dashboards and executive presentations.
• Strong analytical skills for data gathering, cleaning, reconciliation and analysis.
• Familiarity with finance transformation initiatives and multi‑entity environments.
