Finance Coordinator

About the role

The Finance Coordinator will lead the financial and administrative management of the mission in Lebanon, ensuring compliance with AAH‑Spain rules and local regulations. This role supports all departments by providing strategic financial advice and overseeing treasury, accounting, and partner expenditure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor mission execution, cash‑flow objectives and financial planning using the standard Financial Management Tool (FMT) and update monthly.
• Control the Cost Coverage Plan (CCP), prepare monthly budget follow‑ups, and support departments in budget preparation for proposals and contract reformulations.
• Provide strategic financial advice to Country Director, Deputy Country Director and Heads of Bases for decision‑making on funding gaps and resource allocation.
• Supervise monthly accounting closing, ensure correct invoicing, analytical accounting and meet deadlines.
• Define and implement treasury flows, maintain minimum operational cash levels, prepare treasury forecasts and manage bank relationships.
• Verify compliance with expenditure authorization procedures, update financial data in GESPRA, and ensure proper archiving of administrative and financial documentation.
• Represent the mission with administrative representatives of other international and national organizations and ensure compliance with local tax obligations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead financial and administrative management of a mission.
• Experience in coordinating budget preparation, financial reporting and donor compliance.
• Strong knowledge of treasury management, cash‑flow forecasting and accounting closing processes.
• Familiarity with local laws and tax obligations in Lebanon.
