Expert Coach for Rural Businesses in Lebanon

About the role

Fondazione MICRA, in partnership with Italian and Lebanese organisations, seeks an expert coach to support agricultural enterprises in the Beqaa and Mount Lebanon governorates. The role focuses on financial inclusion, sustainable resource management and business development for small agribusinesses.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and assist coaching sessions for selected enterprises, aligning business plans with needs assessments.
• Develop a toolkit for water‑balance assessments to integrate water‑related costs into financial statements.
• Create coaching material tailored to specific business needs.
• Support at least 40 agri‑businesses in accessing financing and conduct 1‑to‑1 follow‑up sessions.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, finance, agroeconomics, rural development or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in development cooperation projects.
• Understanding of financial inclusion dynamics in Lebanon and rural finance for entrepreneurship.
• Presence in the Beqaa region (at least 75% of the time) with occasional travel to Beirut.

Required skills

• Knowledge of agricultural business financing and ESG reporting requirements.
• Ability to develop technical tools for water‑balance and sustainability assessments.
