Executive Event Sales

About the role

Marriott International is seeking an Executive Event Sales professional to drive revenue through event and group bookings while delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, leveraging sales techniques to maximize bookings and foster loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest calls, requests, and problems, routing them to the appropriate department.
• Utilize up‑selling and cross‑selling strategies to increase revenue and maintain guest loyalty.
• Process reservations, changes, cancellations, and Marriott Rewards redemptions via phone, fax, or mail.
• Enter guest and rewards information accurately into Marriott’s reservation system.
• Provide complimentary gifts such as reward points, tickets, or certificates to recognize guest patronage.
• Support Sales & Marketing with administrative tasks including filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
• Assist management in training and motivating team members and serve as a role model.
• Uphold company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant sales or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
