English Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum and help students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department to maintain high academic standards and a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to foster a conducive classroom atmosphere.
• Proctor examinations and ensure a well‑managed test environment.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules where applicable.
• Perform additional duties such as student testing, substitute teaching, organizing lunches and transportation, traffic control, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life activities (art, open houses, physical education) in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.
• Undertake other related projects as assigned by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and accountability.
• Commitment to continuous learning and delivering results.
• Excellent communication skills.
