Director of People & Culture

About the role

The Director of People & Culture will lead all HR and culture initiatives for Le Vendôme Beirut, a flagship luxury hotel within the Accor portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape people strategies that support the hotel's growth, operational excellence, and world‑class guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee People & Culture operations, ensuring alignment with Accor values, policies, and business objectives.
• Develop and implement people strategies that drive organizational growth and operational excellence.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, talent development, succession planning, and employee retention initiatives.
• Foster a positive workplace culture, promoting employee engagement, recognition, and wellbeing.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and disciplinary processes.
• Develop and monitor the annual People & Culture budget.
• Partner with department leaders to identify workforce needs and support business performance.
• Lead learning and development programmes to enhance employee capability and career growth.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR metrics, and management reports.
• Coach and mentor the People & Culture team while promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Post‑graduate qualification or professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, PHR/SPHR) is an advantage.
• 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
