Digital Communications & Media Officer

About the role

UNDP Lebanon, through Stars Orbit Consultants and Management Development, is seeking a Digital Communications & Media Officer for a 6-month consultancy (not exceeding 10 working days per month) based in the Justice Palace Building in Beirut. The consultant manages, creates and regulates content on the Higher Judicial Council's (HJC) digital platforms, including its website and social media, to improve public outreach and transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Website content: upload, edit and regularly update legal decisions, news, announcements and reports, and maintain a secure archive of digital materials.
• Social media: publish adapted content on Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and YouTube, repackage judicial announcements and implement promotion strategies for key campaigns.
• Graphic design: create infographics, announcements and promotional graphics in Canva, following the HJC visual identity.
• Media production: cover events and press briefings with photos and video, edit short- and long-form video, and back up raw footage and edited files securely.
• Community management and compliance: monitor comments and messages, filter inappropriate content, draft responses to routine inquiries, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive judicial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cinema & Television, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in video editing, post-production, digital content creation and social media management.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Ability to provide an unpaid leave of absence if currently employed by a government institution.

The consultant works under the guidance of the UNDP Rule of Law Chief Technical Advisor, with a 5-day turnaround for review and approval. Ownership of all materials produced belongs to UNDP, and the consultant bears their own travel and communication costs.
