DevOps Support Engineer – IS Operations (24/6 Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Support Engineer to join a high‑impact IS Operations team at a leading fintech company in Beirut. This support‑focused position is responsible for keeping mission‑critical tooling running, handling incidents, and ensuring smooth releases for global managed‑services teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support in‑house platforms, microservices, and containerised services running on AWS.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change‑management tickets through ITSM tooling.
• Execute Saturday releases with precision and accountability.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain and improve knowledge‑base documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with colleagues during shift hand‑over to ensure continuity.
• Work rotating shifts as part of a 24/6 coverage model (early day, evening, night, and Saturday shifts).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support, DevOps support or systems operations.
• Hands‑on familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, monitoring, basic troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of core AWS services.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with ITSM platforms for incident, change and service‑request management.
• Basic awareness of CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python are a plus.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
