Information Technology Technician

About the role

Le Gray Hotel is hiring an IT Technician to provide technical support to hotel guests and employees, maintain IT systems and applications, audio-visual (AV) equipment and ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the hotel's technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to guests and employees, including internet access, computers, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.
• Create, configure and deactivate user accounts and email addresses for new joiners and departing employees.
• Install, configure and maintain hotel applications.
• Configure and maintain IP phones, DECT phones, voicemail, direct lines and external calling access.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot AV equipment, background music systems, smart TVs and digital signage in guest rooms and public areas.
• Support meeting rooms, conferences and hotel events, including microphones, projectors, sound systems and video conferencing setups.
• Monitor daily system backups, report failures and keep accurate records of user accounts and system access.
• Follow hotel policies, IT security procedures and health and safety standards, and deliver professional, timely, service-oriented support.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role; hospitality or hotel IT experience is an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to support hotel operations when required, including outside regular working hours.

Required skills

• Windows, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, user account management and email configuration.
• Familiarity with networking, internet connectivity, IP telephony, printers and backup procedures.
• Knowledge of hotel management systems such as Protel is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with AV systems (projectors, sound systems, microphones, smart TVs, digital signage, video conferencing) and hotel AV/event setup, background music or IPTV solutions is a strong advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and organisational skills, with good communication and customer-focused approach.
