DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Kubernetes (Mid‑Senior)

About the role

Fundbot is a regulated B2B fintech platform that connects financial institutions, buyers and suppliers across MENA. We are looking for a DevOps / platform engineer with a software‑engineering background to own our infrastructure, deployments and reliability across cloud and client‑hosted environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Terraform code for multiple AWS accounts, regions and client‑specific environments.
• Operate and upgrade both managed EKS clusters in AWS and self‑managed Kubernetes clusters on‑premises, including Helm charts, ingress, cert‑manager and capacity planning.
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines with OIDC to AWS, container builds and progressive deployments.
• Own monitoring and alerting using the Grafana stack (Prometheus, Loki), define SLOs and write incident runbooks.
• Manage secrets, TLS and edge controls with AWS Secrets Manager, Cloudflare and Keycloak.
• Run platform services such as Redis, NATS, Temporal and MySQL/PostgreSQL on RDS/Aurora and in‑cluster operators.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, lead root‑cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
• Support bank security reviews and provide documentation for compliance.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in DevOps, platform or SRE roles with full ownership of production systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, RDS, ALB, Secrets Manager).
• Solid Kubernetes expertise; experience with self‑managed or on‑premises clusters is a plus.
• Proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and container‑based deployments.
• Good scripting skills in Bash or Python and ability to read and contribute to application code.
• Working knowledge of networking, Linux and security best practices.
