DevOps Engineer - AWS & Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Digico Solutions is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build, operate and continuously improve the platforms and infrastructure supporting its customers and consulting engagements on AWS. You will work closely with engineering teams to improve software delivery, infrastructure reliability, security, observability, scalability and developer experience. The role combines AWS cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, container orchestration, automation and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and improve infrastructure and platform services on AWS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for consistent, repeatable and auditable provisioning.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable, secure and efficient software delivery.
• Deploy and operate containerized applications, mainly with Amazon ECS, and use Docker and Amazon ECR.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, configuration and operations.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions.
• Take part in incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Propose improvements to reliability, availability, scalability, performance and resilience.
• Support engineering teams in deploying, operating and troubleshooting applications on AWS.
• Apply security best practices across AWS infrastructure, containers, CI/CD pipelines, secrets, access control and networking.
• Contribute to AWS cost visibility, resource optimization and cloud efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and architecture documentation, and collaborate with engineers, architects and security teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent in speaking and writing Arabic and English.
• Strong ownership mindset, problem-solving approach and ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams.

Required skills

• AWS cloud infrastructure and services (compute, networking, storage, IAM, security, highly available architectures).
• Container technologies and orchestration, especially Amazon ECS, Docker and Amazon ECR; familiarity with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK or similar.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
• Scripting for automation in Python, Bash, Go or similar.
• Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, TLS and observability (monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting).
• Security principles (AWS IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management) and FinOps/cost management.
• Reliability engineering, SRE practices, SLIs, SLOs and incident management.
