Day Shift GMP Supervisor

About the role

The GMP Supervisor is responsible for coordinating activities within the assigned areas of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program. This includes overseeing company employees and temporary staff, inspecting areas, equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation standards, OSHA regulations and site‑specific SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform duties of employees within the program and provide direct supervision.
• Train, supervise and instruct staff on tasks, safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor work activities, recommend training and issue discipline when required.
• Prepare written reports such as pass‑down documents and weekly or monthly updates.
• Conduct quality, service and safety inspections.
• Track equipment inventory and schedule maintenance or repairs.
• Track supplies inventory.
• Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment to assure safety compliance.
• Report employee and customer issues to management and correct at‑risk behavior immediately.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions and maintain records of training, inspections, attendance and metric data.
• Travel may be required for the position.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management or a related field preferred; equivalent education, technical training, certifications and progressive experience in facilities, operations, janitorial, manufacturing or service teams will also be considered.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to perform essential duties safely and effectively.
• Experience in supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning work, performance evaluation, rewarding, disciplining and addressing complaints.
• Ensuring employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
