Cybersecurity Intern – Hands‑on Experience

About the role

As a Cybersecurity Intern you will gain practical, hands‑on experience in protecting systems and data. Working alongside SpawGlass’s security team, you will help monitor, analyse and respond to security events, contributing to a resilient digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review security alerts and notifications, performing initial triage.
• Assist with threat analysis, escalation and incident response support.
• Research vulnerabilities, emerging threats and remediation techniques.
• Audit systems against the company’s information‑security framework.
• Prepare reporting metrics and summaries for leadership.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a cybersecurity or related degree program (preferred).
• Basic understanding of risk analysis, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, IAM and CIS Controls.
• Relevant coursework or certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Security+, OSCP) is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams.
