Customer Engineer

About the role

OpenOpen.cx is looking for a Customer Engineer to act as the technical bridge between enterprise customers and its AI‑native support platform. You will work hands‑on with the product, guiding onboarding, troubleshooting integrations and delivering code fixes in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact, responding quickly to customer queries via Slack or video calls.
• Lead technical onboarding, configuring and integrating OpenOpen.cx with helpdesk tools such as Zendesk, Intercom and HubSpot.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in live customer environments, including third‑party integrations.
• Write, test and ship production code in the Node.js/TypeScript codebase to implement fixes, enhancements and small features.
• Collaborate with product engineering to share customer insights, prioritize systemic problems and influence the roadmap.
• Develop deep expertise in OpenOpen.cx’s AI agents and prompt engineering to advise customers on optimal usage.
• Document recurring issues, solutions and integration patterns to enrich internal knowledge bases.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background in Node.js and TypeScript, with a track record of shipping production code.
• Hands‑on experience with AI agents and prompt engineering.
• Previous customer‑facing technical work in a SaaS environment, such as onboarding or integration support.
• Familiarity with helpdesk APIs (Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot) or ability to learn them quickly.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup that values speed and customer impact.
