Cost Control Manager

About the role

The Cost Control Manager will lead all cost control activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring that budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and commercial reporting are accurate and aligned with contractual obligations. You will work closely with project management, planning, contracts, procurement and site teams to keep projects financially on track.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and control project budgets, cost plans and cash‑flow forecasts; track expenditures and identify variances.
• Monitor project costs, commitments and earned value; analyse trends and prepare cost forecasts and final estimates.
• Review, verify and prepare client progress invoices; manage subcontractor and supplier payment applications.
• Lead preparation, pricing and negotiation of variation orders; assess financial impact of change requests.
• Coordinate with contracts, planning, procurement and project teams to align cost, schedule and contractual obligations.
• Produce periodic cost reports, financial dashboards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and develop the Cost Control team and improve reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 + years of experience in cost control, project controls or commercial management within building construction.
• Proven experience managing cost control teams is highly preferred.
