Community Engagement Coordinator Lebanon

About the role

The Community Engagement Coordinator leads planning, coordination and implementation of community engagement activities across three neighbourhoods in Lebanon. This role ensures alignment of location‑level workplans, sets implementation priorities, monitors delivery and applies agreed methodologies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational planning, coordination, implementation and follow‑up of community engagement activities across three locations.
• Develop and consolidate detailed workplans, sequence activities and monitor deadlines and deliverables.
• Provide operational direction to Community Engagement focal points and coordinate their workplans, priorities and follow‑up actions.
• Consolidate and manage the overall implementation plan, identify interdependencies and re‑prioritise activities as needed.
• Support establishment, strengthening and sustainability of inclusive community structures and participatory mechanisms.
• Facilitate engagement with municipalities, local authorities, community representatives, civil society actors and other stakeholders.
• Document, communicate and follow up community feedback, concerns and recommendations.
• Contribute to programme quality, learning and adaptive management through field‑level analysis and updates.
• Assist with reporting, documentation, monitoring and learning related to community engagement outcomes.
• Represent NRC and the Haretna Consortium in coordination meetings and forums as delegated.
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, safeguarding requirements and consortium procedures.
