Clinical Psychologist for GBV Survivors (Consultant)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide specialized mental health and psychosocial support to women and girls who are survivors of gender‑based violence (GBV) in the Bekaa region. This consulting position involves direct counseling, clinical supervision of high‑risk cases, and capacity‑building for case workers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one and group therapy sessions for GBV survivors, ensuring each session lasts at least 45 minutes.
• Conduct structured clinical assessments, develop survivor‑centered treatment plans, and monitor psychological progress.
• Provide clinical supervision and coaching to case workers to enhance their handling of complex GBV cases.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to GBV guiding principles in all documentation.
• Submit detailed reports after each session or field visit, including feedback, concerns, and recommendations.
• Produce a comprehensive monthly report on each survivor’s situation and overall case outcomes.

Required profile

• Licensed or registered clinical psychologist with experience working with GBV survivors.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments, formulate cases, and design treatment plans.
• Strong understanding of survivor‑centered approaches and ethical standards.
• Willingness to work on‑site in the Bekaa region for the project duration.
