Patient Service Specialist - Primary Care

About the role

The Patient Service Specialist provides front‑line support to patients before, during, and after their primary‑care appointments. Working Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, the role ensures smooth scheduling, registration, and communication using the clinic’s technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and procedures via clinical communication tools, work queues, and patient portal messages.
• Manage registration and patient work queues, ensuring all pre‑appointment orders and consults are received.
• Coordinate with patients and external facilities to confirm readiness for visits.
• Communicate with patients through the portal, applying critical decision‑making to route inquiries appropriately.
• Support efficient workflow and technology use across the primary‑care team.

Required profile

• Ability to provide patient service with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and attention to detail.
• Comfort with handling multiple scheduling requests and coordinating with outside providers.
• Effective written communication skills for portal messaging.
