About the role
The International Rescue Committee seeks a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide specialized mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to women and girls who are survivors of gender‑based violence (GBV) in the BML area. Working as a consultant, you will deliver individual and group therapy, conduct clinical supervision of case workers, and ensure survivor‑centered care throughout the project period.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct one‑on‑one and group counseling sessions for GBV survivors, ensuring each session lasts at least 45 minutes.
- Perform structured clinical assessments, case formulation, and develop individualized treatment plans with clear objectives and timelines.
- Monitor psychological progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain strict confidentiality in line with GBV guiding principles.
- Provide coaching and supervision to case workers to strengthen their capacity in handling complex GBV cases.
- Complete all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment recommendations, follow‑up notes, and submit detailed reports after each session.
- Deliver monthly summary reports on survivor status, feedback, concerns, and recommendations.
Required profile
- Licensed or certified clinical psychologist with experience working with women and girls affected by GBV.
- Proven ability to conduct individual and group therapy in humanitarian settings.
- Experience providing clinical supervision and capacity‑building for case management teams.
- Strong knowledge of GBV principles, confidentiality standards, and trauma‑informed care.
- Availability to work from June 1 2026 to October 2026, delivering a minimum of five consultations per day.
