About the role
THEN is seeking a passionate and organized Chef de Partie – Sweet to lead the daily operation of its sweet and pastry section. You will be responsible for preparing cakes, desserts, baked goods and other sweet products while ensuring consistent quality, presentation and production standards. This hands‑on role is ideal for a creative, reliable chef who thrives in a growing production kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the sweet production section, planning output according to orders and delivery schedules.
- Prepare cakes, loaf cakes, desserts, cookies, tarts and other sweet items following THEN recipes.
- Measure, prepare and store all ingredients, ensuring proper mise en place.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures and product quality, adjusting as needed.
- Maintain strict food handling, hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Keep the sweet section clean, organized and fully stocked throughout the day.
- Track ingredient usage, report shortages and coordinate with the Kitchen Manager.
- Assist in testing and developing new sweet products when required.
- Train and guide Commis staff working in the sweet section.
- Coordinate with the savory section and kitchen team when production schedules overlap.

- Reliable, detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a fast‑moving production kitchen.
