Bilingual Patient Services Specialist (English/Spanish)

About the role

The Patient Services Specialist will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling both inbound and outbound communications. This bilingual position requires fluency in English and Spanish to provide compassionate support and accurate information.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls regarding appointments, medical services, and general inquiries.
• Make outbound calls for appointment reminders, follow‑ups, and call routing within the practice.
• Collect and organize patients' medical information to prepare up‑to‑date charts.
• Assist patients with scheduling, obtaining medical records, and navigating healthcare procedures.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in electronic systems, ensuring detailed notes of each interaction.
• Issue prior authorizations to insurance companies for treatments or prescriptions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a compassionate approach.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Prior experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
