Backend Tech Lead – Python

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Tech Lead with strong Python expertise to drive the design and delivery of new financial services products. The role involves leading a development team, shaping architecture, and ensuring high‑quality, secure software.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop features and new products.
• Design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
• Write technical specifications, define workflows and enforce coding standards.
• Present implementations to senior leadership and demonstrate outcomes.
• Develop unit and integration tests and guarantee software quality, security and extensibility.
• Conduct code reviews, identify anti‑patterns and drive refactoring.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of professional Python development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience leading technical teams.
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture and quality‑assurance principles.
• Experience with SDLC, SOA, SQL and NoSQL databases.

Required skills

• Python (core language).
• PHP (advantage).
• Micro‑services development.
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• WebSockets.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Unit and integration testing.
• Web security best practices.
