Assistant Store Manager – Full-time

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations of the Hibbett I City Gear location in Lebanon, MO. This full‑time position ensures smooth store performance, excellent customer service, and adherence to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and financial information.
• Develop and execute action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume full store responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence, including supervising staff.
• Participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees.
• Provide product knowledge and guidance to customers and staff across all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Ensure quality customer service and compliance with all operational, visual, and personnel manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and uphold internal control procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in retail or store operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and sales processes.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, especially during peak periods.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Reliability to manage store responsibilities independently when needed.
