Adjunct Lab Instructor - Mechanical Engineering

About the role

The Department of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering, in Byblos, Lebanon, is looking for an adjunct faculty member in Mechanical Engineering. Applications are reviewed continuously until the position is filled, with an expected start date of January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the undergraduate laboratory course MEE333 – Manufacturing Lab
• Teach other undergraduate Mechanical Engineering laboratory courses as needed, depending on departmental requirements
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to students in the Makerspace on their course work and Final Year Projects, especially in manufacturing, fabrication and prototyping

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication and the operation of manufacturing equipment
• Relevant teaching or laboratory experience is an asset
