Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead all accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, tax and compliance functions for a construction‑focused company operating in Lebanon. Reporting to senior management, the role combines financial stewardship with strategic insight to improve profitability and cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Payroll and Cost Accounting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Lebanese regulations.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning processes.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions.
• Manage treasury activities, banking relationships and working‑capital optimisation.
• Ensure internal controls, coordinate external audits and monitor financial risks.
• Handle tax compliance, VAT, payroll and corporate tax filings and manage tax audits.
• Support project cost control and profitability analysis for construction and engineering projects.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting and finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 12‑15 years progressive finance experience, at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in construction, engineering, contracting or project‑based environments.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Lebanese tax law and corporate reporting standards.
