Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations for Scento d’Italia in Sidoun. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of all financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile financial transactions, prepare general‑ledger entries, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow tracking, and monthly/annual closing activities.
• Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow reports, and performance reports.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Assist with payroll, administrative duties, and inventory‑related audits.
• Handle accounting tasks for other small businesses as assigned.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, and service providers.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing AP/AR, invoicing, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, pivot tables, basic financial analysis).
• Ability to prepare and review budgets, track expenses, and support forecasting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance, and audit support processes.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Prior experience as an accountant; retail, FMCG, or fragrance industry experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Sidoun, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
