Academic Coordinator

About the role

The Academic Coordinator will oversee the academic operations of a CIS Group branch, ensuring that curricula, teaching schedules, and student assessments align with the institution’s standards. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the role acts as a bridge between parents, instructors, and administrative staff to promote a high‑quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with parents to explain academic structures and address concerns.
• Collaborate with instructors to develop annual teaching plans and distribute syllabi.
• Monitor lesson delivery, instructor performance, and adherence to the academic calendar.
• Review and sign daily class logs and validate student grades before release.
• Prepare quarterly and end‑of‑year academic performance reports for management.
• Organize exam preparation, distribution, correction, and cross‑branch benchmarking.
• Ensure laboratory equipment meets quality standards for technical subjects.
• Evaluate teaching quality, recommend staff changes, and act as Branch Manager in their absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience in academic coordination, teaching, or school management.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, student evaluation, and educational planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with educational software; experience with the Olive system is an asset.
