Supermarket Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Supermarket Supervisor to lead daily store operations in Mozambique. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe, organized retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of supermarket staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee inventory management, stock ordering, receiving, rotation and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Implement loss‑prevention strategies and resolve customer inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Collaborate with department managers to optimise store layout and product placement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or high‑school diploma (or equivalent) with 2‑3 years of retail supervisory experience.
• Proven leadership abilities, strong customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Experience in cash handling and financial reporting.
• Computer literacy and ability to use standard office applications.
