Senior Python Back‑End Engineer

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a Senior Back‑End Engineer with strong Python expertise to help build and enhance trading platforms for its global online‑trading business. You will work closely with product owners, architects and other engineers to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design and implement new features and products.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and coding standards.
• Write clean, testable code and create unit and integration tests.
• Present implementations to technical leads and the CTO.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns and suggest refactoring.
• Maintain software quality, security, modifiability and extensibility.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of professional software development experience.
• Strong analytical mindset with great attention to detail.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and service‑oriented architecture (SOA).

Required skills

• Python (primary language).
• PHP (advantage).
• Software design and architecture.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Microservices development and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, Helm).
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Web security standards and best practices.
