Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Azure Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high‑performance data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT frameworks within Azure, ensuring automation and accuracy.
• Apply data quality standards and monitor compliance with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Purview.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Profile and tune data solutions for performance and cost efficiency.
• Manage cloud data platforms such as Azure Databricks, Stream Analytics, and Cosmos DB.
• Implement security controls using Azure Active Directory, encryption, and role‑based access.
• Mentor junior engineers and document Azure‑based architectures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and deliver business‑focused data solutions.
