Mechanical Site Engineer – Abidjan

About the role

The Mechanical Site Engineer will lead the execution, supervision and installation of mechanical systems—including HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection—on construction sites in Abidjan. You will ensure that all works follow approved drawings, specifications and schedules while maintaining quality, safety and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site installation of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems and verify compliance with drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate daily activities with electrical, civil and architectural teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct inspections, manage quality control, prepare inspection requests and resolve non‑conformances.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain daily progress reports, material tracking, as‑built drawings and project documentation.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards, conduct toolbox talks and mitigate safety risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction or site execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection system installation.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and site practices.
• Experience in testing and commissioning is a plus.
