Mechanical Site Engineer – Abidjan

About the role

The Mechanical Site Engineer will lead the execution, supervision and installation of mechanical systems—including HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection—on construction sites in Abidjan. You will ensure that all works follow approved drawings, specifications and schedules while maintaining quality, safety and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site installation of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.
• Coordinate daily site activities, manpower, materials and equipment to meet project timelines.
• Liaise with electrical, civil and architectural teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct inspections, prepare inspection requests and ensure compliance with specifications, standards and local codes.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and hand‑over of mechanical systems.
• Maintain daily progress reports, material tracking, as‑built drawings and issue logs.
• Promote health, safety and environmental standards through toolbox talks and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction or site execution.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of mechanical systems is a plus.
