Consultant for DSGE Technical Paper on Exchange Rate Pass‑Through

About the role

We are seeking an experienced macro‑economics consultant to produce a technical paper that analyses exchange‑rate pass‑through and monetary‑policy reforms in two Arab economies using a DSGE framework. The assignment involves both empirical and structural modelling, culminating in a comprehensive 8,000‑word report.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a detailed outline of the technical paper, defining scope and methodology.
• Develop and calibrate DSGE models for a dollarised oil‑exporting economy and a non‑oil, net‑importing economy.
• Incorporate features such as imperfect credibility, fiscal dominance, and exchange‑rate pass‑through into the models.
• Produce the first draft and incorporate feedback to deliver a final draft.
• Deliver all model code, the complete database, and results in Excel format.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master) in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in DSGE modelling and macro‑economic policy analysis.
• Familiarity with Arab economies, especially dollarised and exchange‑rate regimes.
• Strong academic writing skills and ability to produce technical documentation.
