Communications Associate

About the role

The Strategic Communications Department (Stratcom) seeks a Communications Associate to support internal communication projects across the Beirut and Byblos campuses. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications, the associate will act as the primary liaison for deans, faculty, executives, and staff, ensuring that communication initiatives align with revenue‑generating activities and reputation‑building goals.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal clients, identifying communication needs and storytelling opportunities.
• Develop and propose comprehensive communication plans that consider audience, messaging, and appropriate media mix.
• Create and edit articles, press releases, op‑eds, speeches, and social‑media content.
• Coordinate small‑scope requests such as branding updates, website tweaks, and event communications.
• Lead website development or revamp projects, managing contracts, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Brief and collaborate with the Stratcom team, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to assess client requests and provide strategic advice.
• Excellent written communication skills for diverse formats.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in content creation for print, digital, and social media channels.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams (writers, designers, multimedia specialists, web developers).
