Commercial & Financial Analyst

About the role

Equiti is seeking a detail‑oriented Commercial & Financial Analyst to join its Data department. Working fully remote, you will support the company’s commercial reporting, financial analysis and performance monitoring across multiple products, regions and client segments.

Key responsibilities

• Own recurring commercial and financial reporting, including sales targets vs delivery, revenue, cost and margin, using certified semantic models.
• Support the automated end‑of‑quarter finance process by validating outputs and reducing manual work.
• Analyse commercial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and quantify their impact.
• Partner with Sales management to translate targets and incentive logic into clear, certified metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance on cost allocation, margin methodology and group‑reporting definitions.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and analyses for executive, regional and sales‑management audiences.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools to accelerate analysis and draft commentary while ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of metric definitions and assumptions.
• Respond to ad‑hoc commercial and financial queries from leadership with fast, well‑founded analysis.

Required profile

• 4+ years of commercial experience in BI development or analytics.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with solid understanding of P&L, revenue drivers and margin analysis.
• Excellent analytical rigour, attention to detail and ability to communicate insights to senior audiences.
• Proven stakeholder management skills across Sales, Finance and executive teams.

Required skills

• Power BI development and advanced DAX.
• Data modelling with Tabular models.
• MS SQL Server, T‑SQL and SSIS or modern pipeline tooling (e.g., Azure).
• Use of AI‑assisted analysis tools.
