Tax & Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Tax & Accounting Specialist manages and coordinates the Group's tax compliance, VAT, insurance, payroll accounting and related financial matters. The role ensures accurate and timely tax declarations, returns, settlements, reconciliations and statutory reporting, supports tax audits and inspections, and handles intercompany transactions and royalty calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT declarations and settlements, and quarterly and annual payroll tax declarations
• Review annual corporate tax returns prepared by external providers and prepare built property tax declarations
• Provide tax advice and guidance to departments, and monitor changes in tax legislation
• Assist tax and NSSF inspections, and support audit preparation and follow-up
• Manage insurance policies, premiums and claims, and coordinate with HR on employee medical insurance
• Integrate monthly payroll data from HRIS into Microsoft Dynamics 365 and reconcile payroll entries
• Calculate quarterly royalties and non-resident withholding tax, and prepare intercompany reconciliations and year-end P&L reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; Master's or MBA an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in taxation, tax accounting, financial accounting or tax compliance
• Fluency in English and Arabic; French is an advantage

Required skills

• VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax and withholding tax knowledge
• General accounting, financial reporting, general ledger and account reconciliations
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 and HRIS knowledge is an advantage
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office
