Senior Full-Stack Developer - AI Products

About the role

Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join its team in Lebanon. The company runs wholly owned software businesses and builds products, not bespoke projects. The role focuses on building AI-powered features for RetailVista, an enterprise retail platform covering POS, inventory, finance, omnichannel and logistics, and on using AI tools in your own development work.

Key responsibilities

• Own features from problem to production: clarify needs, challenge incomplete requirements, propose a solution and take it through implementation, testing, release and follow-up.
• Develop across the full stack: backend services, APIs, data models and user interfaces, with attention to security, performance, data integrity and maintainability.
• Make complex retail workflows intuitive by designing clear interfaces and considering the complete user journey.
• Build AI-powered features: agents that use RetailVista data and APIs, working with product and commercial colleagues on value, adoption, usage metering and running costs.
• Use AI to improve delivery: apply AI-assisted and agentic workflows to investigation, prototyping, development, refactoring, testing and documentation, and share approaches that improve team productivity and quality.
• Improve established code, contribute code reviews and share knowledge with colleagues in development, support and implementation.

Required profile

• Strong affinity with the Microsoft ecosystem, especially C#/.NET and SQL Server.
• Substantial experience delivering and maintaining production software, with solid backend, API and relational database skills.
• Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS and a modern frontend framework, able to explain architectural trade-offs.
• Able to improve existing systems as well as build new ones, and to judge when modernisation is worth the investment.
• Active use of AI development tools: breaking work into defined tasks, guiding an agent, reviewing and testing AI-generated code, and handling source code and customer information responsibly.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications and connecting models to business data, tools and APIs.
• Sense of UI/UX: visual hierarchy, consistency, accessibility, responsiveness, sensible defaults, clear feedback and well-designed loading, empty and error states.
• Validation mindset: checks requirements, assumptions and acceptance criteria, tests during development and verifies edge cases, permissions and failure scenarios.
• Self-directed, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues and escalates appropriately.

Valuable additions: retail, ERP, POS or other business-critical software, automated testing, CI/CD, incremental modernisation, or introducing AI development practices into a team.
