Senior Electrical Engineer Designer – Transmission Lines or Hydropower

About the role

We are seeking two senior Electrical Engineer Designers to join our team immediately – one focused on high‑voltage transmission lines and the other on hydropower plant electrical systems. Both positions are hands‑on, allowing the engineer to take projects from concept through detailed design and deliver construction‑ready packages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of overhead HV/EHV transmission and distribution lines, including line routing, tower spotting, sag‑tension calculations and structure‑loading analysis.
• Produce design calculations, technical specifications, layout drawings and construction‑ready documentation.
• Design electrical systems for hydropower plants: generators, switchgear, protection, grid connection and electromechanical layouts.
• Prepare one‑line diagrams, equipment specifications, cable sizing and perform load‑flow, short‑circuit and protection‑coordination studies.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical and substation teams to ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant design experience in transmission lines or hydropower.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver on schedule.
• Availability to start on short notice.

Required skills

• PLS‑CADD / PLS‑POLE (transmission line design).
• AutoCAD.
• ETAP (load‑flow, short‑circuit, protection studies).
• Strong knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards.
• Experience with one‑line diagram creation and cable sizing.
