Senior Accountant

About the role

CIS Group, an ICT company based in Jal El Dib, is looking for an ambitious and motivated Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. The role involves ownership of accounting controls, financial reporting and process improvements, working with local accounting teams and other departments to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of accounting information across assigned entities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, in line with accounting standards, company policies and procedures.
• Oversee month-end closing, including entries, inventory valuations, account reconciliations and gross margin review.
• Review intercompany, bank and cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Review invoices, supporting documents and ledgers, and improve accounting processes.
• Monitor VAT, social security contributions, withholding tax and other tax declarations for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure accounting records comply with internal controls and procedures, and coordinate with local teams and other departments to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and communicate professionally with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Arabic, English and French.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of general accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
• Experience with accounting systems / ERP is an advantage.
