Senior Accountant

About the role

CIS Group, an ICT company in Jal El Dib, seeks an ambitious Senior Accountant to join its dynamic accounting team. The role involves overseeing accounting controls, financial reporting, and process improvements while collaborating with local accounting teams and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, ensuring compliance with standards and company policies.
• Manage the month‑end closing process, including entries, inventory valuations, reconciliations, and gross margin verification.
• Review intercompany, bank and cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Validate invoices, supporting documentation and account ledgers, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Monitor VAT, Social Security Contributions, WHT and other tax declarations for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of accounting records and supporting documentation in line with internal controls.
• Identify accounting errors, control weaknesses and inefficiencies, coordinating corrective actions.
• Coordinate with local accounting teams and other departments to guarantee accurate, timely transaction recording.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, month‑end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with ability to work independently.
• Fluent in Arabic, English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Financial data analysis capabilities.
