Senior Accountant – Accounting Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our accounting firm in Lebanon. You will lead daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and supervise junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily accounting and financial operations for assigned clients and businesses.
• Oversee junior accountants, review their work for quality and completeness.
• Review and record accounting entries, supplier invoices, payment vouchers, expenses, cash transactions and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review reconciliations for supplier, customer, bank, cash and other accounts.
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, accruals, prepaid expenses and fixed‑asset registers.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing procedures and prepare financial statements.
• Analyse financial performance, identify variances and provide clear explanations.
• Support external auditors, tax consultants and management with required schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures and Lebanese tax regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and month‑end closing.
• Proven experience preparing and analysing financial statements.
• Experience with reconciliations, cash management, accruals and fixed assets.
• Good knowledge of Lebanese accounting and taxation requirements.
