Room Service Order Taker

About the role

The Room Service Order Taker is responsible for taking guest orders via telephone, posting them accurately in the POS system, and ensuring seamless communication with the service and kitchen teams. The role supports the Food & Beverage department in delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service to maximise guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with wait staff and minibar attendants to fulfil guest requests.
• Take orders by phone, enter them correctly into the POS system, and monitor order flow.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and uniform compliance.
• Provide accurate product knowledge, upsell items, and suggest alternatives.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints and feedback promptly, reporting to supervisors.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, keep the work area clean and organised.
• Assist with inventory checks and monitor supplies to reduce waste.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and telephone etiquette, fluent in Arabic and English.
• Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team, and deliver proactive solutions.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills with a professional, confidential approach.
• Commitment to safety, hygiene, and hotel policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating a POS system.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is beneficial.
