Regional MEAL Officer – Middle East

About the role

HAMAP Humanitaire is seeking a Regional Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer to support its mine‑action programmes across the Middle East. The officer will ensure that projects are monitored effectively, results are evaluated accurately, and lessons are integrated into future activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for mine‑action projects.
• Collect, analyse, and validate data from field partners and produce regular performance reports.
• Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place, including community feedback loops.
• Facilitate learning workshops and disseminate best practices across the region.
• Coordinate with local partners, donors, and senior management to align M&E activities with strategic objectives.
• Travel to project sites as required to supervise data collection and provide technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Social Sciences, Engineering).
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian or mine‑action contexts (or 2 years with a Master’s degree).
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Middle East region.
