Quality Assurance & Control Officer – Bakery & Pastry

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Quality Assurance & Control Officer to lead the development and implementation of robust quality systems for our bakery and pastry production. The role focuses on building structured SOPs, documentation, and control checkpoints to prepare Sultan Bakery for future international certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and roll‑out Standard Operating Procedures across all production lines.
• Establish quality control checkpoints for raw materials, in‑process production and finished goods.
• Design and maintain batch traceability and documentation systems.
• Create and manage Non‑Conformance Reports and corrective‑action procedures.
• Implement GMP and hygiene monitoring on the shop floor.
• Standardise labelling review and compliance processes.
• Conduct internal quality inspections, audits and data analysis to identify operational risks.
• Train production teams on food safety standards and quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Production and R&D to reduce variability and improve product consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or control.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety fundamentals.
• Proven experience creating SOPs and structured documentation systems.
• Experience in bakery, pastry or FMCG food production is highly preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work hands‑on in a production environment.
