Protection Capacity Building Officer – GBV (Beirut)

About the role

The Protection Capacity Building Officer – GBV will lead the design and delivery of training and mentorship programmes that strengthen IRC staff and local partners’ ability to provide high‑quality gender‑based violence (GBV) response and prevention services in Beirut.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt training modules, handouts, presentations and monitoring tools for GBV case management, adolescent girls programming, Women Rise, PSEA, RAR, community mobilisation and reporting.
• Facilitate technical trainings, ensure logistics (materials, venue, transport) and maintain accurate training documentation and databases.
• Conduct follow‑up surveys, track attendance and evaluate training effectiveness through pre‑ and post‑tests.
• Map and assess local partners, serve as the primary focal point, and provide regular coaching and mentorship to partner staff.
• Promote partnership principles, share best practices and coordinate with IRC teams to ensure consistent quality of GBV programming.

Required profile

• Experience in GBV case management and protection programming.
• Proven ability to design and deliver capacity‑building activities for humanitarian staff and partners.
• Strong partnership development and stakeholder engagement skills.
